Sourcing & Methodology

How this register is built, and kept honest.

Last reviewed: [Month Year] · Reviewed quarterly alongside each data refresh

The Capital Register exists because raising money involves finding out, the hard way, which investors are genuinely active, what they actually write cheques for, and who to talk to. This page explains exactly where the data comes from, what's included, and how we keep it clean.

Where the data comes from

We do not include personal data obtained without a listed individual's knowledge, and we do not scrape private inboxes, CRMs, or non-public contact lists.

How each entry is built

  1. 01Firm and thesis identified from public sourcing and cross-checked against at least one independent source.
  2. 02Cheque size and stage range estimated from public deal history and, where available, the fund's own published criteria.
  3. 03Sector tags applied based on the fund's stated focus and recent public deal activity, not assumption.
  4. 04Partner-level contact included only where a public, professional contact route exists or explicit opt-in has been given.

Keeping it current

The register is reviewed and refreshed on a quarterly cycle. Funds that have gone quiet, exhausted their current vehicle, or shifted focus are flagged and updated or removed. This is not a static export — it's a maintained dataset.

If you're listed and want changes made

If you are an investor or fund listed in this register and would like a correction made, or to be removed entirely, contact us at [removals@domain.com] and we'll action the request within 5 working days.

Limits of this dataset

Cheque sizes and sector focus are indicative, compiled from public information and past behaviour — they are not a guarantee of how any specific fund will respond to any specific pitch. This register is a research and outreach tool, not investment advice, and inclusion in it does not imply any fund's endorsement of this product.
